Acrostics are a special type of poem where a specific set of letters, usually the first in each line, spells out a word. This word is often the theme of the poem. They are lovely to use for cards, or special gift labels or just in a little note to say something special like ‘I love you’.
My good friend over at ‘The Rise and Fall of Herbert Polecat’ drew this one to my attention – it would be lovely to use as a little note on the tray when you take breakfast in bed to your Valentine
Vows are forever.
Age will not impede your beauty.
Love is ours for a lifetime.
Embrace me in your arms.
Never let me go.
Tomorrow is ours.
I will always love you.
Near to my heart you will stay.
Every day with you is a treasure.
