If you want a different gift for Valentines Day what about an exciting trip – with a bit of romance thrown in or course!
One of the most popular things to do is a Hot Air Balloon trip, of course you can’t always do that on Valentines day itself, but the anticipation can make the trip more fun. There are a number of companies in most areas that do such trips, often with Champagne and flowers thrown in. You need to wrap up warm as even on a sunny day it can be chilly up in the sky, but you can always cuddle together to keep warm.
How about hiring a really special car, if your Valentine loves speed and excitement, you could hire a sports car for the day and go for a drive with a lovely picnic to complete the day. If luxury is your thing then what about a limousine, complete with driver, for a romantic moonlit drive to a quiet place where you can see the moon and stars….
On the theme of vehicles you could also go on a boat trip, or even a short weekend cruise. A gentle cruise along the river or on a beautiful lake is something nearly everyone enjoys. If you really want to go to town you could book a lovely holiday cruise to the Caribbean or some other beautiful destination. A flight to Paris, lunch in St Marks Square in Venice, dinner overlooking Niagara Falls are all special gifts that really say ‘I love you’. For something really different you could go and see the Northern Lights and watch one of nature’s most spectacular displays.
Day trips don’t have to be extravagant though, what about tickets for your favorite sports team, a golf lesson together, something that helps share your interests as well as being fun. You can be grown up kids for a day and go to a Theme park or paint pottery, there are hundreds of possiblities that needn’t cost a fortune. If you are an adrenaline junkie you could try something like a parachute jump, or white water rafting……
Days out for Valentines are something really special, the memories last for a long time – you could even buy a scrapbook and make a record of your day together so that in years to come you can look back and say ‘Remember the day when…..’
